Overall Feedback The fact that you celebrate " Markovits’ knack for unembellished profundity", tolerate that the "novel’s approach to changing mores around race and gender is kind of tiptoe" but finally recognize "there is an emptiness at the heart of the novel" is a testament to the manifold subtlety of your approach.

I realized today that I will die with work unfinished, and someone will have to find it.
