While baristas are on strike, our job is simple: DON’T SHOP AT STARBUCKS.

They’re striking for fair pay and respect and we’re standing with them.

Show the billionaires our solidarity is stronger than their greed.

Quite possibly the best running app and best augmented reality game (audio!) has been saved by the creator!
Basically the only reason I ever completed a half marathon is this app.
just incredibly thrilled to announce that after months and months of uncertainty over the future of the game, and several I have bought Zombies, Run!, the game I co-created and have been making for the past 12 years:

Just a friendly reminder as we go into the holidays:

Folks don't have to explain to you why they don't drink.

If you offer them a drink and they decline, don't ask them why. It's not your business.

Just offer them something without alcohol to drink instead. And move on.

DOGE was created for data theft and infrastructure dismantling and it wildly succeeded on both counts within the first few weeks of its existence. It will take a generation to rebuild what it destroyed and the breach of data is unprecedented.
Bye bye, “DOGE”.

It no longer exists as a “centralized entity”, according to the Office of Personnel Management.

TRUMP: Uh huh
MAMDANI: And breaking down barriers? Reminds me of a certain Broadway show *smiling widely* where they worked together to break a barricade?

Context: Trump is meeting today at the WH with Zohran Mamdani, a Democratic Socialist. This vote is timed to performatively signal political opposition to a movement that DOES NOT EXIST in modern USA. It's meant to confuse and scare people who couldn't define socialism if it landed on their face.
BREAKING: The House of Representatives voted 285–98 in favor of a resolution condemning socialism.

Eighty-six Democrats joined Republicans in supporting the measure, including House Minority Leader Hakeem Jeffries.

The President of the United States is pushing violent rhetoric against elected officials. This is extremely dangerous language and needs to be forcefully called out.
Trump is now seeming to endorse execution for his perceived enemies — retweeting a post that called for the hanging of Democrats who told servicemembers to refuse illegal orders.

He also claims the Dems are engaging in 'seditious behavior'.

Trump’s War on Carolina Christians
Here’s a story for every national news outlet:

In N.C., churchgoers are literally running into the woods as federal agents descend on the property.

“Inside the church, women and children sobbed as they wondered whether their loved ones had been taken.”

Again, the only possible explanation is that MTG was recently visited overnight by three ghosts.
BASH: We have seen these attacks from the president at other people. It's not new. And I haven't heard you speak out about it until it was directed at you.

MARJORIE TAYLOR GREENE: I think that's fair criticism. And I would like to say, humbly, I'm sorry for taking part in the toxic politics.

People getting mad here about anyone saying it's good that MTG and Trump are fighting. I teach democratization every semester. The first slide says 'elite fracture.' That's always where it starts. It's good when people with bad politics are fighting one another.
I do not regret to inform you that we are going to win

Fun fact: The clerical collar, as we understand it today, was invented in the mid-1800s by Protestants — not Catholics. Which is why Protestants use them.

However, U.S. Catholics adopted it in the 1880s, eventually mandating it for priests.
This is your regular reminder that not everyone who wears a clerical collar is referred to as a "priest," but, instead, often referred to as "pastor" or "minister," and that this has been true — and, in the heavily-protestant U.S., the *literal norm* — for centuries.

Pam Bondi and Kash Patel wrote the notorious memo that said there was nothing left to investigate with the remaining Epstein files.
Instead of just releasing the Epstein files, Trump ordered the DOJ to investigate Democrats and AG Pam Bondi is complying.

Are they setting up a pretext to block the release by arguing the files are now part of an active investigation? I’m not saying that would work, but he’s desperate to block.
