Android should be the opposite of Apple. Don’t give me clean boring futuristic. Clunky, outdated, unwieldy like god intended. I want that phone to have the potential to be unrecognizable. This isn’t a phone, its a switchblade of apps and just as dangerous

A phone should be a swiss army knife. Each function unique and tailored to a specific purpose. We could have the equivalent of a super computer in our pockets at all times. The Library of Alexandria should feel insecure of what I have on hand. No more toys, I want a machine

the intensity of my anger at those who would criminalize the homeless — a population literally created by the greed and callousness of the ruling class — is very hard to contain. it was you who dismantled the safety net. if you don’t like the results, put it back

In urban policy, it is considered bad for someone to be rent-burdened (spending at least 30% of their income on rent). But Cuomo's newly proposed law would *require* that people be rent-burdened. Absolutely insane.

Obergefell v. Hodges made me believe in the whole "arc of history bends towards justice." In the 90s, I didn't think gay marriage would be legalized in my lifetime because homophobia was so deeply ingrained. We would have never gotten here without the decision and now it may be overturned.

Writing is funny because both my biggest brightest dream and stomach churning dread is having people read my book.

Tenho uma boa notícia. Finalmente está solucionado o problema "como um elefante usaria calças?". A má notícia é que ele entrou para as forças armadas

thought crimes are now illegal in the united states. it’s truly baffling that their anyone was ever convinced by the right being pro “free speech”. anyone who gave any credence to that argument is a rube
Imagine trying to deport someone for their "expected beliefs"

Me trying to explain fascism to students: "A lot has to do with fear of supposedly stable gendered boundaries blurring, and how that maps onto racial and national hierarchies. But can I really say transphobia is the lodestone to fascism?"

Aleksandr Dugin: "Ukrainians are collective transgenders."
