Sadly we have had to say goodbye to Oscar today. To say we are both devastated would be an understatement. Sleep well big lummox. We hope you find a plastic plant to nom on in the afterlife.

Bands I hadn’t seen for 24 years - part 2 in an occasional series: Idlewild. They were utterly awesome. I will not be leaving it 24 years next time.

Shame Trev the panda isn’t on here. He’d have had something to say about this.

“I’ve been waiting a long time”. 24 years to be precise.

Lime Breezers are in the shops again, which means Canvey Island Iced Teas are back on the menu!

My only picture memento of last night’s gig, as it was a phone-free event. It was pretty darn special to see such a massive artist in such a relatively small venue. It was such a great gig that it made the nightmare of trying to park at UEA seem worthwhile!

Confetti from last night’s gig (part of the title of the Stereophonics new album). I keep finding them all round the house and, in isolation, they seem like really creepy little notes. I might leave them lying around to scare unsuspecting visitors.

Stereophonics and Blossoms. After 25ish years of Aunty Lynn driving us to gigs, we finally got to return the favour!

I assume the driver behind us has a great view out of his wing mirrors. Yes, that is their passenger’s feet.

A few snaps from the Manics yesterday. I love the Nicky Wire had pockets full of confetti to throw as he was doing his song.

My latest Lego (& “Not Lego”) labour of love. Actual sets, not my designs, I hasten to add. Still got to add more people & sort the alley way between the two. I may try adding some lighting to the station, once I’ve recovered from the trauma of installing all the fiddly little wires into the club.

I think Officer Crabtree now works for Yodel.

Some irresponsible sod put another cocktail bar on the route between the cocktail bar we were in and our hotel.

The Scissor Sisters were utterly amazing. Like someone jumbled up a musical, a burlesque show, a rock gig and a puppet theatre in a bag, with a ton of glitter, and poured the resulting mix on to the stage. Magical, uplifting, a triumph.

Here’s this year’s guide to the Eurovision final. Happy watching everyone.

I waited many years to see Ultrasound. They were definitely worth the wait.

Cerys Matthews doing her best Holly impression. The 90’s crossover we didn’t know we needed.

Fun times watching Terrorvision last night. The last time I saw them in that venue I seem to recall Tony standing on a stack of speakers and firing a Super Soaker at the crowd. Fortunately less water/electricity based risks this time round.

Sod the Oasis reunion. This is the one I’ve been waiting for.
