That both wasn’t as bad and took way longer than I expected. Hoses are out, and there’s a better look at the hose that split.
I hope I remember where everything goes, have ample annotated photos and labeled bins and parts so it shouldn’t be too bad. Just gotta get some hoses made.

It sucks when you realize that some muppet has previously worked on your car and did a garbo job. Thankfully all the things that made me ponder “what were they doing” have only been cosmetic items. So gonna add unfucking some of that stuff to the ”while you’re in there” list.

The only thing that makes flying through Frankfurt worthwhile lol. There’s an awesome amount of 747 traffic. 🤩

I’m always surprised at how easy some things are to get too in the Gallardo. I was dreading troubleshooting this hydraulic leak, and it took maybe 15 minutes to get too and find.
Replacing the line is gonna be quite a task, but with some help I’ll knock it out over a couple cold ones. 😁

I don’t think I’ve missed a car more than my Mini lol. As unreliable and often times frustrating it was to own, It’s still genuinely the most fun car I’ve driven.

I’ve pretty much been daily driving the Gallardo since I got back from AC, and it’s surprisingly usable. Since I’ve done the spark plugs and coil packs it’s been reliable for about 1000 miles now. The E-gear system is the only real flaw at this point, and it’s working exactly as it should lmao

I’m not a fan of getting notified of people liking reposts or reposting things you reposted, I just think it’s kinda pointless? I really appreciate that bsky gives you flexibility on what notifications you receive. So nice to actually be able to make a decision for yourself on a social platform.

I realized I never even looked at the spark plugs after I pulled them out lol. As I suspected, it was definitely running rich (I’m guessing from when the map sensor failed). I figured as much, explains the misfire and the overheating cat.

It was going so well, I got half the spark plugs and ignition coils done, and then I went ahead and dropped my 4mm allen between the engine block and a heat shield 😔.
It may just permanently be in there now lol.
