Another great question about tranexaminc acid in urological bleeding.. we usually use it for post-biopsy bleeds. Does anyone have reservations about this? #NephJC

Same with us, but sometimes due to lack of availability switch to 18G for native. There are always concerns about adequacy when this happens #NephJC

One the one hand, low risk intervention. On the other hand, still unclear benefits.
We doctors like to feel like we are doing something to prevent bad outcomes…but “don’t just do something, sit there” is also appropriate in many patients #NephJC

Not exactly the topic, but what about treatment of post biopst bleeds? Is it a single dose of DDAVP, or would your redone? If so do you have a suggested protocol- timing, Na check? #NephJC
