“Now we must… turn words into actions: We need steady investment, teamwork across sectors, and real action in every corner of the globe. This isn’t just about better kidney care -it’s .. making healthcare fairer & more accessible for everyone, especially in LMICs that need it most.” 👏🎉
🌍 History made! For the first time, kidney care is on the global health agenda. #WHA78 adopted a landmark resolution recognizing kidney health in the fight against #NCDs.

👏 Thanks to Guatemala and the global kidney community for making this possible!

🌍 Chronic kidney disease affects over 850M
We must shift from silent neglect to strategic action.
Awareness, prevention, and equity in care are our next steps.

One the one hand, low risk intervention. On the other hand, still unclear benefits.
We doctors like to feel like we are doing something to prevent bad outcomes…but “don’t just do something, sit there” is also appropriate in many patients #NephJC

Hyponatremia, headaches, hemoglobin drop 🧪

🔹 Same drug
🔹 Different patients
🔹 Different doses
🔹 Different needles
🔹 Different expectations

🩸Kidney biopsy is essential for diagnosis, but bleeding remains a key concern — especially in CKD, and when it comes to preventing bleeding? On 2019 @ajkd.bsky.social core curriculum left us without clear guidance.
