MapQuest have got in on the action with ‘name your own gulf’.
I mean, if the Orange Dictator can do it, we all can, right?

Such fun! 😃

What. The actual. Fuck.

From the White House official account no less. Same on Insta. Same on FB.

Oh, America, what the fuck did you do?

With the world looking increasingly more dangerous and the US turning into a basket case, it’s time to have a long, hard look at who our ‘special relationship’ ought to be with.

It’s not with those on the other side of the Atlantic, it’s with those on the other side of the Channel.

#Rejoin, now.

Axel Rudakubana was not born with an interest in extreme violence.
Something, probably many somethings, made him that way.
I do so often wonder in situations like this, how much responsibility we as a society share for the eventual, devastating outcome.

Same place and same day of the months screams ritual offering. So, off to Google I go…

I really like meat, fish and cheese, and drink gallons of tea.
It’s getting hard to ignore the implications though, so I impulse-joined #Veganuary 10 mins ago at www.veganuary.com
Tea was a potential wobble but I just tried it with almond milk and it tastes like… tea.

Any #Vegan tips welcome!🙏🏻

Israel can’t say ‘Hamas are there’ forever. At some point there will be nothing left of Gaza. Then what?
Say ‘Oops, we bombed everything for no reason’, or move onto the land and no longer be able to spin what this is: a genocidal land grab.

Israel is fucked either way. Stop the slaughter now, eh.

It’s great that the Environment Agency has new rules to protect Atlantic Salmon in the River Camel, #Cornwall.
Maybe they’d also like to talk to South West Water about all the shit they keep dumping in the Camel SSSI, which exists to protect wildlife, inluding salmon.

Oh look. Here it is on the P&O Travel Information page.
This wouldn’t be a case of Brexiteers doing something without researching the details or consequences, would it?
Such a surprise tbh - they’re usually so well informed.

Correction, Marina: that’s EMPEROR Musk.

#Christmas… if, like me, you can find it hard, a reminder that many people don’t enjoy it, including some of those who look like they’re having The Perfect Christmas (TM).

I treat it as a ‘me’ day, and give myself permission to properly rest, reflect, and spoil myself.

So, tomorrow I will…

No you won’t, #Labour.
In the main, Reform voters aren’t interested in arguments, no matter how well thought out they are. They’re emotional voters, reacting to Farage’s scare/rage-bait tactics.

But besides all that, I don’t really want foreign money in UK politics, regardless of source or party.

Dunno about anyone else, but the only thing we’re talking about at home is the dire state of things in parts of the US.

Poundshop Enoch can damn well keep his grubby little nicotine-stained hands off UK #ReproductiveRights.

While the #AssistedDying bill doesn’t go far enough for the circumstances affecting my family, and I do want to see extremely robust safeguards in place (as well as better palliative care for all), this is a good first step towards alleviating suffering in my view.

No you don’t. You have to have *intended* to benefit. Whether you actually benefitted is only relevant at sentencing.

I’ve just had a run-in with him over Julia Patterson.
I’m not a fan of hers, but I’m not scrolling past someone clearly harassing someone else without calling it out. There’s no place for that kind of creepy, weird behaviour.
His response…

Only 31% of asylum applicants came to the UK in small boats in 2023.
I sometimes wonder why no one rages about the other 69% but then I remember those responsible for spoon-feeding bigotry haven’t mentioned this.
The gullible only rage at what they’ve been manipulated into raging at, don’t they.

I wonder what happens when you report Space Karen for ‘Violent & hateful entities’ on his own platform, after he shared that Stephen Yaxley-Lennon ‘documentary’?

So many things to feel and think and say about this, but I can bullet a summary:

*Elon can go fuck himself.
*We won’t be scared into breeding because Space Karen deems it so.
*It’s not 1900. Parenthood is now a choice.
*Infertility is already scary without this bollocks. And then some.
*Twat.

Anyone who’s been on here for a while know why I’ve had a load of followers today with an ‘invalid handle’?
Anything to be concerned about? (Bot paranoia!)

I can't remember where I first saw this quote, or who said it, but I've been reminded of it today in the midst of all the 'Your body, my choice' bollocks.

I’d rather there was no ‘r’ at all in ‘royal’. No ‘oyal’ bit either.

No royal whatsoever would be my preference.
