Hello! I come to you bearing some unfortunate news. Firstly, please let me apologise for not being active at all, I’m really sorry for that. With all good intentions, I wanted to keep continuing with this season of the fest because I absolutely love modding it, I love reading the fics that have come from it, and the sense of community has been wonderful. However, with newfound responsibilities of caring for my mum 24/7, as well as trying to juggle full-time work and my own now-declining mental health, the fest has been the first thing to go. Unfortunately, the situation at home isn’t looking like it’ll get better, I’m expecting it to decline further which is, truthfully, why I’ve been all over the place. This leaves me with a few options, and I’d be really grateful for your input. I can either postpone this season until the new year, give everyone an extra few months and in the meantime source a co-mod to help with the more formal reveals. I can’t guarantee that next year will be kinder though, it’s not looking like it will be. Or, I can put a pause on this season of the fest, let anyone who wants to write their fic post it to our collection and we can share them just as you’d post a regular fic without the author reveals. In that case, you’d be more than welcome just to post whenever your fic is ready on your account and to the collection, tag the fest, and I’ll retweet it and make it public in the collection. If you haven’t received a claiming confirmation but still want to write, by all means I’d love to read your work, just at the moment, I don’t have the capacity to keep up with the demands of modding as well as everything else that’s going on. Again, I’m really sorry. I guess I was just holding out hope that by some miracle, I’d get more time to be able to continue the fest in the way I set out to, but the weight of worrying about it in the back of my mind isn’t helping. Please let me know what you’d prefer, and thank you for making this fest something so special 🥹🤍 — Ivy (vampyknj)
