Starry Eyed 🌟
Quackers comic 11-12-25 Panel 1: Jason the duck is stood in the back garden at night, wearing a hoodie to fight off the evening chill. He looks up at the sky happily. Tom the moose sticks his head out of the back door and asks Jason “What are you doing out here in the dark?” “The news said we’d be able to see the Aurora Borealis where we are tonight!” Says Jason, enthusiastically. Panel 2: Tom strips out of the doorway and squints up at the darkened sky. Panel 3: We see Tom and Jason from behind, silhouetted against the sky. Clouds cover the whole scene and a bright glow emanates from ground level being the garden fence. “Sorry, Champ,” says Tom. “But between the UK’s never-ending cloud cover and all the light pollution I don’t think you’re going to see much.” Panel 4: Looking down on the scenes we see Jason Jan a finger into the air as Tom looks on curiously. “No, look!” cries Jason. “I can see a star right there! Praise the Great Llama, the clouds must be clearing!” Panel 5: Jason gets a puzzled expression. “Why do you suppose it’s blinking green and red?” he ponders. Panel 6: Tom gives Jason a withering glare. “Because that’s a passenger jet’s lights, ya dingus!” he says. Jason looks disappointed and mutters a lowly “Awww.”

A Sketchy Excuse
Quackers comic 11-05-25 Panel 1: Tom the moose walls into the living room where Jason the duck is stood. Both characters and the room are uncharacteristically drawn with rough pencil lines and shared in black and white. “Jason, are you ok?” asks Tom. “You’re looking paler and more… scribbly than usual.” “Have you taken a look at yourself lately, Mr Sketchy-chops?” replies Jason, testily. Panel 2: Tom looks down at himself and cries out in surprise. “What happened to my luscious fur and impeccable physique?!” “Old age?” suggests Jason, bluntly. “No! I mean why are we all unfinished?” Panel 3: “Our artist said something about burn-out from our last storyline and blah, blah… I honestly stopped paying attention.” Jason offhandedly remarks. “Claims he needed a break.” “Oh, I’ll give him a break alright!” Says Tom, menacingly and clasping his fist. Panel 4: Tom looks scornful and mutters “Whatever we’re posting that bozo, it’s too much!” “Oh, we don’t pay him anything,” Jason comments. “That explains so much around here,” says Tom, folding his arms.

A spookily Good Party Spot

Welcome to the first episode of this year’s Quackers Halloween Special! 🦇🎃
Panel 1: Jason and Tom are walking down a dark wooded path at night. They pass by an ornate sign that reads "Bleakwood Castle". A second sign advertises a 'Free Halloween Party - Tonight!' Notable entries on the sign say 'All (victims - crossed out) visitors welcome' and 'Bring Your Own (Blood - crossed out) Bottle'. Jason looks to Tom and asks, "Remind me, why are we out here in the dark and not at home eating far too much chocolate?" Tom replies, "What better way to celebrate Halloween than visiting a spooky old castle?" Panel 2: "Literally anything else would be better!" cries Jason. "OK, then name something," counters Tom. "Trust me, if we had a better script writer I would," laments Jason. Panel 3: A castle stands in a clearing. It looks like a mash up of various styles and has large stained glass windows at the front. A lone statue stands in front of the bisected staircase leading to the main entryway. A large crescent moon hangs in the cloudy sky. Tom marvels at the sight. "Wow! Just look at this magnificent old castle!" Jason, less impressed replies "Drawn without any form of reference it seems." "Oh shush, you're killing the mood." "Our artist beat me to that with his lacklustre drawing skills," Jason says, sarcastically. Panel 4: "This seems like a great place to visit and celebrate Halloween!" Tom says, still in awe of the castle. "Sure, all it's missing is a few angry pitchfork wielding peasants to really set the scene," Jason comments. Panel 5: "Would it help if I went to the 24-hour supermarket and got you a lawn strimmer?" Tom asks snarkily. "I'm not sure that has quite the same vibes..." replies Jason.

If you aren't seeing skeets from some of your fave people, they might have been labeled "Rude" by bsky mods. Idk what they are thinking, I don't need a mommy to tell me who to be buddies with. Anyway, go into Settings > moderation > bluesky moderation (advanced) and turn Rude off.
Rude Rude or impolite, including crude language and disrespectful comments, without constructive purpose. Highlighted Off, darkened Warn, and darkened Hide buttons.

🎃The Quackers Halloween Special Finale🦇
Quackers Halloween Special Part 5-1 Panel 1: We see Tom and Jason are still in the elegant castle ballroom, Jason with a garlic bulb in his hand looking back at his friend, Tom. "Snap out of it! Don't fall for his hypnosis, Tom!" shouts Jason. He snaps his fingers and tries to pull Tom out of the trance the vampire had put him under. Tom shakes his head from side to side as Jason continues. "We have to work together to defeat him!" Panel 2: "Here, grab the holy water from my Vampire Hunter's kit!" says Jason, passing his kit back towards Tom while keeping watch on the vampire. "You brought gear to fight vampires?" questions Tom, taking the box from Jason. Panel 3: "One should never be without a good monster hunting kit on Halloween," Jason advises, finger raised to make a point. Panel 4: Jason and Tom stand together ready to fight. JAson brandishes a glass bottle of holy water while Tom holds up a spray bottle with a sticky label on the side that reads 'Holy H2O' "Now let him have it!" shouts Jason. Panel 5: Tom stands before the vampire and pulls the trigger on the spray bottle. "Bad vampire! Stop it!" chastises Tom. The vampire cries out and hisses angrily as he tries to shield himself from the water being sprayed at his face. Panel 6: Jason jumps for joy. "Woohoo! You got him, Tom!" he cries. Tom looks at the soaking wet vampire with a menacing stare while the vampire looks down at his sodden clothing. "You fools! Vhat haff you done?!" Exclames the vampire. "Just look at my clothes!" Panel 7: "Wait, doesn't it burn?" asks Jason, genuinely curious. Angrily the vampire snaps back, waving a fist in the air. "I burn only vith rage, you imbecile! You haff wrecked my hair and my brand new suit!" Quackers Halloween Special - Part 5-2 Panel 1: With a 'POWF' the vampire tranforms into an actual bat in a cloud of smoke. He turns to regard our two heroes with disdain. "Curse you!" he yells. "I'll be back to deal with you two another time! I hope my stylist is still awake..." Panel 2: Triumphantly Jason jabs a finger in the air and proclaims victory. "Once more we beat back the Forces of Darkness and survive yet another harrowing Halloween night!" Tom look on dumbfounded. Panel 3: With a look of mild confusion Tom asks, "Do you think we'll ever have a Halloween where some great evil isn't out to get us?" "Sure," Jason replies casually. "Once our artist runs out of clichéd plots to rip off." Panel 4: "So what now?" asks Tom. "Now we celebrate with pizza!" replies Jason, grabbing his bag and heading to the castle entrance. Thoughtfully Tom adds, "I think I'll order extra garlic bread, just in case..." The End! (For now)
