I only went out for about 15min last night here in s. cent PA. Was going to go back out out, but clouds rolled in. Regretted not staying out.

Sandwich loaf today
Made a loaf of #bread yesterday. Started with KA French Style Country Bread poolish. Dough ended up 50 white, 40 ww, 10 rye. Threw in a couple bowl folds. One shaping and 1hr final proof in basket kept crumb closed, but it’s very soft with just enough chew.

Made a curry tonight to chase away the cold. Not a speck of curry powder in it. Used fresh ginger and turmeric and various other dried/ground spices.

Here’s one I made at home and wrote up. Not quite a full “recipe” but for those familiar with cooking it’ll get you there. I make this a couple of times a year. I add fresh grated ginger now. Need to add that to recipe

First I experienced a total solar eclipse. That was one of my celestial bucket list items.
And now this....my other celestial bucket list. Absolutely amazing
Naked eye green aurora in southern PA during the first part of the show. And then lots of visible red with camera greens during later part.

For something diff you could do a vegetarian stuffed pepper using quinoa. Made these years ago when I had a market stand. Basically quinoa, corn, diced mushrooms, chard, onions, garlic, peppers with sauce and cheese over

I’m not crazy that when I opened up an email and saw this shirt advertised that I said WTF am I? It’s just a little to reminiscent of certain iconography, medallions, and statues, isn’t it? Or am I just looking at it to hard?

I like camping and riding forest roads in the fall. This year will be a rental w/ a group instead of camping, and riding the entire Pine Creek rail trail in PA out and back
