Apple has been forced by the U.K. to disable iCloud end-to-end encryption, leaving journalists, whistleblowers, and the U.K. public vulnerable to breaches and endangering democracy. Apple would not comply with the U.K’s orders to wiretap the global population.
“…and only on their trusted devices. We are gravely disappointed that the protections provided by ADP will not be available to our customers in the UK given the continuing rise of data breaches and other threats to customer privacy…”
