So when the aurora borealis is faint enough, you can capture its glow with the Milky Way 😍

Milky Way to the left and red glow to the right above mountains with just a little snow on them in a very starry sky. I didn't use a star tracker and this was a 30 second exposure so some star trailing is visible.

My all time favorite garden bird, the long-tailed tit. They are just such cute little fluffballs, their beaks so tiny it´s almost ridiculous. Had to paint these little critters in my Steamline Journal!

If you are anywhere in the northern half of the continent, get outside and look up! Or better still, put your camera on a 10 second exposure and point it up.

I really need to get to bed, but I just poked my head out the back door again. This is the view from my deck. All of this is looking south. When the geomagnetic storms are like this, the oval overshoots me and stretches into the US, which is why so many are seeing it tonight. #aurora

Baby pigeon mystery.

They nest in sheltered spaces on or in buildings. This keeps their babies safe from weather and predators." There's a pigeon nesting in a sheltered cavity in the side of a building. Panel 3 says "The hidden babies look like this: like moldy potatoes, but cute" and there are two baby pigeons looking, well, like moldy pink and gray potatoes with yellow fuzz. Panel 4 says "Older baby pigeons hide in plain sight.
