Please notice her answer to whether all children should have access quality education was “no one should be trapped in a failing school.” While that sounds logical on the surface, if we follow that thinking through, there are a few things that become crystal clear in their strategy:

“Catastrophic” is the correct word to describe the dismantling of the US Dept. of Ed and the government. If you still think these cuts are about efficiency and waste, you really should talk to folks in the industries affected who know the real stories.

Matthew surprised me with the crew of Serenity 4 my birthday. I talked with Nathan and Alan for a few seconds. They were very nice and generous. Was bummed 2 of the cast had to change their plans to be there, but it was still a great panel & photo op. This was such a shiny surprise! #browncoats

This is just one of so many examples of how important a worldwide focus and support is. I am so frustrated and disgusted at our president’s decision to end so much international aid without first determining and weighing the consequences.

Also, and I should have led with this, respect to Brittany Pettersen, who brought the baby she gave birth to one month ago onto the floor with her, and to Kevin Mullin, who was hospitalized yesterday with serious surgery complications but got back here and onto the Floor on a walker to vote.
