You are essentially stuck between an ageing society desiring nostalgia and / or risk removal and a shrill social media cacophony demanding everything is sorted out now. With glib supposedly edgy one-liners far too often passing as serious commentary.

So you're declining to answer the question again. I see. They aren't owed any money. Some may deserve compensation for poor communication, but that's not the same as having had money they were due removed.

I have no idea what you are trying to say here. Perhaps you could answer my question? Happy to rephrase it if you don't like the word "demanding" (but that is exactly what the WASPI campaign is, a demand for compensation). Are they saying only women who raised children should be compensated? Y/N?

So is it only women who raised children who are demanding compensation?

Yeah, as covered in the next post in that thread, but worth repeating.

I think it’s worse than you might think. After the puberty blocker study was cleared another article was published on the BBC that stated questions remained and linked to an article in the BMJ. Who were the authors of this? That’ll be the BBC journalists as well.

Questions remain over puberty-blockers, as review clears study - BBC News
But questions remain over the use of puberty blockers, say Newsnight's Deb Cohen and Hannah Barnes.

It’s the same tactic that trump was impeached for the first time: “just open up an investigation into Biden, and i’ll give you the weapons you need”
All you need is the appearance of an investigation, apparently

This is the kicker - the "Puberty blockers study under investigation" headline which kicked off reams of coverage elsewhere was entirely concocted, because it was the *journalists themselves* who forced the investigation to happen. The investigation found nothing wrong, but by then it was too late.
The ultimate twist is that 'gender critical' activist-journalists, Deborah Cohen and Hannah Barnes, reported the study to the HRA themselves!
The HRA was required to open an investigation because they’d received a report... which gave the Newsnight duo the shocking headline they desired.

Yeah, those are two arguments for Orchard Brae, but I don't think they stack up against the arguments against.
