Something to look forward to and maybe DMC 6 for the boys in the back???? Or maybe a remake or prequel??? I really hope this anime helps show Capcom that people are thirsting for more content especially with the OG universe. 3/3

Since Dante will have a grudge I am sure they have some way to control him so he doesn't make a run for it. But maybe he will just be a genuinely nice guy and help. I am intrigued but a little afraid in terms of keeping Dante true to himself. 2/3

There would not be that many mixed humans and demons. Plus if that was the case wouldn't Dante and Vergil also look more demonic in their humanoid forms, there would be no DT. 6/7

They may have evolved to withstand their environment or mingled with the next level of demons to create what we see now. But two things wrong with that, if that was the case then I think they wouldn't be getting sick as often. Second, it seems more elite demons see these lesser ones as slaves. 5/7

The rabbit kind of addressed this with the whole nobility comment but I still think it doesn't make sense. And we have "levels" of demons in human terms but I am still confused on the whole thing. I thought maybe the humanoid demons were recent humans stuck on the other side. 4/7

For example, why did that one demon attack Mary and her family in the subway tunnel? What do demons want from humans? Mary's father turned into a demon and immediately started attacking his wife and eating her. Does different demon blood do different things? 3/7

We have these humanoid demons inherently good, then these other demons who are bit more demonic, seem to be more violent, then maybe another category and then Beast like demons. What are the demons beef with humanity? Other than Sparda? But that is not humans fault. 2/7

Overall the show is good. It can get better and I hope the director keeps this in mind. If my thread ever reaches him I hope he understands that I do believe this show can be successful and what he has made thus far is solid. Thanks for reading if y'all got this far. 16/16

They need to stick with the "science" in the anime as actual magic since ya know, it's about demons and devils, not aliens. And if they wanted a science, they should have gone with Alchemy instead. I think they can change this without it being too much of a retcon. 15/16

It was fairly obvious Baines only cared about people who were useful to him. As funny as it was to have him bomb hell, it didn't fit the story and it could just be because it was within the last few minutes of the season. If it was in the middle of a season it would have landed better I think. 14/16

I don't mind the America is bad and will try to exploit anywhere, including hell, theme but it was sort of done in a way that left out nuance and slapped the viewer in the face with it. Like I knew that was going to happen two episodes prior y'all didn't have to write it that way. 13/16

I hope Mary is the one who free's Dante in episode 1 or 2 with a big fat apology. Surely now she see's Baines for what he is right. No way she can deny that. But idk, the character is not consistent which is why I think the last few minutes of season 1 was rushed. 12/16

I am pretty sure that Vergil's demon form isn't his real DT form and is in fact his corrupted demon form from DMC 1. Which hints at him not being truly free and is in fact being manipulated or controlled by Mundus. If not, please change his DT form so it looks like how it does in the games. 11/16

Mary on the other hand, all we know is she hates demons and is considered the best among her team, but that was only word of mouth until they got killed off. We never saw how she really compared ya know? We need to see character's personalities and past experiences to bond with them in s2. 10/16

They really emphasized her past as a child and the trauma from then but nothing as an adult. Even with Dante we got a little bit on what he was doing in life and how he interacted with others leading up to the show. He was known to be gifted in combat but still a decent guy. 9/16

didn't make me sympathize with her enough. Maybe if we saw flashbacks with her being welcomed to darkcom and her team as well as some training with Baines overlooking her with approval we might have had more of a connection with the character as well as care about the people who just died. 8/16

I noticed when watching that things that were probably meant to hit and hit differently couldn't because the lead up to it was glossed over or non-existent. Examples would be liking Lady/Mary. She wasn't humanized until Episode 4 and then two episodes later had a whole backstory that 7/16
