that red pedestrian signal does not mean what you think it means because somebody has changed the direction of a chunk of the pedestrian lights in glasgow so they refer to the street at right angles to the one suggested by established visual language and i'm surprised people aren't dying as a result

The red means go because it's actually for the main street to the right ninety degrees to the direction you are crossing, because some public authority (Glasgow? Scotland?) has decided to change the street language we've been familiar with for decades and make pedestrian signals be right next to where you are, at low height, more often than not completely invisible, and it has to be killing people

in "glasgow bus drivers will walk off rather than tell you anything" news, i just had to tell this bus driver he should maybe announce what's happened to all the rest of the passengers after he managed to skewer his own bus with a bus stop
It's a Glasgow bus, speared by a metal strip from a bus stop. It's late in the evening. I just yeet-signalled the folk in front off after the bus driver muttered to himself and phoned back to base telling me and me only they probably weren't going to be going anyplace for a while.
