particular church gave feedback that they felt it "wasn't fire and brimstone enough" for their tastes. Immediately Liskeard & Looe said "Well he's one of our favourites. Can we have him?" ...and he preached there until about 6wks before he died.

He was a lay minister various places, but when we were living in a different circuit, Da gave a sermon where he preached that especially in our modern understanding of the world, 'the devil' is more or less just a convenient way to sidestep personal responsibility.
