Christmas cookies baking season has begun, still trying to get used to the fact that this isn't a family activity anymore, but I had fun nonetheless and am proud of the end result!

Slow progress, but it's getting there!

My lovely copy of Threadcutters, by @potatocubed.bsky.social, arrived earlier today in the mail! 👀
Check it out if y'all like assassins, great tarot mechanics, or a variety of great hits to run at the table.

Hosted @alwayscheckers.bsky.social's A Complicated Profession twice this weekend, 3 years after the last time I got to play it. I'm pleased to say that it's still as good as it was then, and that everyone introduced to this fantastic game had an amazing time!

This last month or so I had the opportunity to run an introductory adventure of @furtiveshambles.bsky.social's Ryne for two different groups. It really speaks of the game's improvisational strengths that both games were so different from each other, but equally memorable.

The newspaper boy just came by and left something on my doorstep that suspiciously doesn't look like the local newspaper 👀

Deadline - A Clockwork Press, @wanderers-tome.bsky.social's new game, is a GM-less news-chronicling & map-making ttrpg with a brilliant concept and an even better execution. 📰

My collection of Wretched & Alone #solo #ttrpgs is slowly increasing, this time with some games by @loottheroom.bsky.social. Two different genres that I'm into quite a lot. And seeing different implementations of the W&A system is good practice in case I ever try making my own.

Look at that, what an adorable little zine at my doorstep, about a lil' guy that's probably gonna die time and time again at my hands! My @potatocubed.bsky.social #TTRPG collection is steadily growing, and with Crucible I have the benefit of not having to go through scheduling to play! #solottrpg

A new #soloTTRPG arrived earlier today here at home. Grimscar is a solo game set in a grimdark fantasy medieval world, focused on exploration. Love the addition of laminated sheets to facilitate replayability.

Somehow this doesn't seem to quite align with the answers I gave 🤔
I don't think I have that good of a memory, I mostly never want to lead, and I'm definitely pretty ok without plans. Otherwise, I guess it's not really wrong. Autumn is great tho!

Took longer than planned, but I've remade my setup and picked up my playthrough of Koriko again. My young witch Coral might be struggling to win over the inhabitants of Koriko, but at least she's getting to find who she is beyond just a witch.
That dice tower is getting unstable tho... #solottrpg

1. The Colour of Magic (Discworld #1, Rincewind #1), Terry Pratchett

Both my first Discworld and my first Terry Pratchett book, despite coming with very high expectations, those were even so vastly surpassed. Pratchett has a style that is quite unique to him.

High time for a new #TTRPG #shelfie, Summer 2025 edition. Slowly running out of space in my shelves, and I'm still convinced I need to find a better way to organize my growing zine collection.

Earlier this week a couple new solo games to entertain me this summer have arrived, can't believe it took me this long to get Apothecaria 😄.

Today the two supplements for @thetweedmeister.bsky.social's Out of the Ashes arrived at my doorstep, so now I have everything Out of the Ashes on my shelves! Looking forward to running the campaign in The Book of Quests later this year. Really fond of @handiworkgames.bsky.social's cover art.

Half of the year has now passed, so I decided to look back at what I've been playing #TTRPG -wise so far. Feeling pretty proud of the variety of genres that have been on the menu this year.

Had been eyeing Zephyr for months, and now the days where I can finally hold it in my hands has arrived!
@fsohns.bsky.social's anarchist fantasy #TTRPG of fleeting identities is my latest favourite game, and I can't wait to get it to the table and get my players to share the same excitement!

Mail day today, and look at what made its way to my doorstep*!

*actually local post office

@momatoes.com' The Magus, that's what it is! And it looks gorgeous!

Latest game to arrive on my doorstep, @snow117.bsky.social's Soul Cemetery! Really delighted with how quickly and easily it arrived, wasn't expecting customs not to raise a fuss as they usually do. Can't wait to dig in, it looks great 👀

Between the difficulty of an accurate self-assessment and my lacking knowledge of many popular IPs - particularly sitcoms and investigation tv shows -, I feel like the result is sketchy at best.

Take the fictional characters quiz and post the first 4 you know:

Another month, another #Liminal one-shot - this time Goblin Market, where we saw the PCs sell a shady fey merchant a dangerous vision of a future conflict between major fey courts in return for the soul of a street musician in York. If this were a longer game, they'd get so much trouble for it xD.

I picked up a draft of an old #soloTTRPG I was working on, struck by the thought that using the Carta SRD could make it better. Looking for interesting Carta #TTRPGs featuring one of the following for inspiration:
- some kind of cycle
- base building
- interesting changes to the starting grid setup

Another game I got to try out for the first time this week was @ickbat.bsky.social's Stealing the Throne. We simply sat down in discord, picked up one of the playsets, and went with it. Genuinely enjoy this kind of one-shot GM-less games that you can sit down without much beforehand preparation.

Had a ton of fun this afternoon running a one-shot of @potatocubed.bsky.social's Threadcutters - love love love how the interpretation of tarot cards, due to the setting, bleeds between metaphorical and literal depending on the situtations, it has so much potential for creating unexpected turns.

Arrived today at my doorstep, the Geologist's Primer by @doubleproficiency.com! As a student of geology, this one is particularly close to several interests of mine. Can't wait to dive in!
