Steak & Shake changed their sign here a few weeks ago and I was sure this was some MAGA dog whistle. Or for MAHA is that a dinner bell?

Either way, this ep dropped at exactly the right time to clear up my suspicions

📕 ✅ One of my fav sports ARCs I received this year -
@scottmillerbbl.bsky.social “Skipper: Why Baseball Managers Matter (and Always Will)” - is now available

Counsell is in this one, as are all the big names in the modern game. Really solid insight into how different the job is today.

Yesterday would have been my dad’s 80th birthday. (He made it to 55) I went to pick up the phone to call mom because we usually wished him a HBD

Didn’t remember I couldnt do that anymore because mom is now gone too

Being without parents, grandparents, or siblings is so strange sometimes

Have to say, Harlequin's website is such a mess it's impressive. Still can't log in to my account. Can't see any books when I'm on mobile. When I sent a customer service note the final suggestion to an iOS person was to try using Microsoft Edge.

Do they not want people to buy books?

Oh good. He’s still going.

And MLGA kicks us off in the first person, present tense mind of a woman going through menopause. Brian really brought his F-Game on this one.

Wondering what kind of man would put up a Romance on NetGalley called “Make Love Great Again”? This guy.

…who would (on another writer’s book on Goodreads) come to comment bomb me on my rating of a wildly, laughably bad book.

Another example of why you cannot trust Amazon to not abandon any projects at any time if they don’t turn a max profit. This is what happens with a move fast and break things attitude.

Start crap with wild abandon. Make people who grew to rely on it repent in leisure.

Get out your pilfered spectacles and go all in, it’s time to gamble everything for love and celebrate Derek Craven Day! 👓🎲❤️‍🔥

Can’t sleep because [gestures wildly at the world] so I’ve been up since 5am reading. And the way I laughed at *cad of the first water* damn near woke the rest of the house up.

Julie Anne Long writes such a delightful historical.

Marcus Freeman over Brian Kelly by 1 million. #GoIrish ☘️

The crazy part of this is it doesn’t count any Rangers games or all the ones which were on other streaming services.

In summary: I watch too much baseball.

Fabio is such an ego maniac that his stepbacks in his three ghostwritten books were centerfolds of himself.

Read *The Extinction of Irina Rey* this morning, based purely on the Tournament of Books blurb.

I have no idea how to describe it except that there’s a lot about manuscript translators with boundary issues & Polish mushrooms. Also, an unreliable footnote-ist.

A good time? No.
Makes sense? Also no.

1999 me really didn’t know what was coming for her, good or bad. This was the last Christmas dad was alive. I bought them a bottle of Perrier-Jouët Fleur for New Years. Don’t think mom threw out any card I ever gave them, but trying to sort through it now that she’s gone too is a LOT #FuckCancer

Still can’t unsee Great Value Wrath from the Black Dagger Brotherhood movie is basically Tommy Wiseau in irregular pleather pants & a jacket from a Wilson’s outlet.

Without this amazing episode I would not have been compelled to grab this out of the Clearance bin for $2 today

I don’t know where, when, or to whom the Fabio Pirate book will be deployed, but it’s there when I need to call upon it!

Yes, Spotify. When I think of Romance I think of Cormac McCarthy’s Blood Meridian too.
