It's oozing with atmosphere, doesn't it?

I think that's the first time I see Legendia getting praise.
Now I'm curious when/if I'll get to it.

If you're curious about other differences from top of my head, then the soundtrack's complexity gets severely cut down on N64, and, of course, same goes for the FMVs.

On a side note, the PC port gets slightly better background compression (same resolution) and does not wobble.

I've watched most of it, and was surprised how big of a retread this whole story was.

Throughout the whole thing I could only think of "This is Mafia 1 in a different setting" and the moment you first see Isabella, you can guess the game's ending.

Indeed. And also a pity that initial idea of humanity apocalyptic struggle against dinos was scrapped altogether, during its earliest concept stages, as @jawmuncher.bsky.social found out.

On the other hand, nowadays it's possible to play the game from start to finish via xemu.

A little treat for those that were yearning for more Dino Crisis, but not the Dino Crisis 3 kind. With Paula being a returning character here, it's short but sweet.

Played this one not too long ago for the local co-op experience and it was pretty good, despite being much shorter of a game.
