Post-conviction work is grueling and wins are few and far between, but every now and again we are reminded why we do the work.

I’m kind of curious how/why Monroe County gained population, and if Mon County’s population growth will continue as WVU struggles.

Why would you not challenge this? There are a lot of defense attorneys that are simply far too credulous.

An excerpt from a Connecticut Supreme Court case that states: “We next had occasion to consider eyewitness identification evidence in Dickson. We held that, contrary to our prior case law on the topic, ‘in cases n which the identity is an issue, in-court identifications that are not preceded by a successful identification in a nonsuggestive identification procedure implicate due process principles, and, therefore, must be presented by the trial court. . . . We reasoned that ‘we are hard pressed to imagine how there could be a more suggestive identification procedure than placing a witness on the stand in open court, confronting the witness with the person whom the state has accused of committing the crime, and then asking the witness if they can identify the person who committed the crime.”
