If the Biden administration had sent federal agents to do a law enforcement operation 10X milder in a white suburban neighborhood in order to apprehend a serial pedophile and violent domestic abuser who happened to be a white Christian pastor, the MAGA crew would have reduced the country to rubble.

I've said similarly before, but my (only) real statement on the continuing Epstein mess (aside from a reminder that the *victims* should be getting more support) is that we've all spent *way* too long treating "elites" as cold Machiavellian operators driven only by greed and power. No one is. /1

Closing in on the final third of Persona 3 Reload now. While I think the new version improves the team chemistry significantly, I'm...still not sold on how Shinjiro and Ken's big event plays out, or it's aftermath. It doesn't help that the player is still basically uninvolved in the whole thing.

People are complaining about this, because of course they are, it's mandatory ro be tedious about Bethesda on the internet, but! It's gotten increasingly difficult to play the full versions of 3 and New Vegas on console (Like how PS5 Streaming doesn't include the DLC) so this seems reasonable to me.

Skyrim is a game that has grown on me immensely over the years. The first time I played it, as a teenager, I genuinely didn't like it. But as I've gotten older and have seen many games try to replicate it's success, my appreciation for what it does well has steadily grown. /1

As someone with *very* mixed feelings about his period of Japanese cinema, I will still always stand by Harakiri as a complete success, and Tatsuya's performance is a big part of that. I enjoyed his acting much more than Mifune's even in films I didn't like. He'll be missed.
Farewell to one of brightest stars of the golden age of Japanese cinema: Nakadai Tatsuya, who starred in some of history's greatest films, has passed away at the age of 92. Major roles included those in Ran, Hara Kiri, Yojimbo, Sanjuro, Kagemusha, The Human Condition, and many more.
