I've decided I want to build a home server. Problem is this has turned out to be not just a rabbit hole, but an astral worm hole to a whole other dimension of computing. Since there's clearly no future for the human race, we just have to try and get to the future ourselves ourselves, it seems.

Hungarian mathematician Paul Erdos played Go I learned recently. But don't have much info about his playing career. I'd be interested in trying to find some Kifu recordings of any games he played. Though here he is placing his stones like an amateur. #baduk #gogame #weiqi #math

Xmas gem this year from Valerie: Mac Lane's post retirement memoir! This book is like 1/3 history and development, 1/3 philosophy, and 1/3 technical instruction. It should be required reading for math majors, or at least PhD students imo. #math #mathematics
