It goes bad quickly and underripe is not an option. If you find the perfect moment to slice open a ripe papaya and chill it a bit before eating, it can be sublime. Still, not my favorite fruit either, but there is a moment of optimal enjoyment. Of course, it helps if you live in the tropics. ;-)

It is a very reasonable tax - not punitive at all, and the reason it has been so successful is that there are a lot of very wealthy people in Massachusetts. And they like it there; it's a lovely state that has excellent public schools and pretty good infrastructure. www.mass.gov/news/4-surta...

Seeing so many replies saying the same thing I was going to say... You are an elitely educated person, JD, so you should know how science works. Maybe you don't know (lots of dumb people come out of elite unis, I know), but my sense is that you are corrupting the narrative for political gain.
