This is what it looks like when the firewall is torn down for good. EPP, under the leadership of Manfred Weber, using the entire extreme and far right (including German AFD, French RN) for trashing sustainability and due diligence requirements for big business. The masks are off for good.

Headed in to Cork to introduce Omar Barghouti of the BDS movement at Cork City hall. Had to get the train to be sure I’m on time as the traffic is so bad in this weather, but the service at night is so poor I will spend at least 45 min waiting for train home (journey time 25). It’s not great…

"Good morning Captain Birdseye"
I am calling upon the people of Ireland to immediately begin construction of a thread on this site about how you or someone you know was roasted for a fashion choice. We need it.

All roasts must have come from Irish people *only*. Please respect this important rule, it makes a difference.

Very very interesting item on Liveline now about deportation of Georgian workers - two employers whose staff were deported and they can't get them back.

I'd LOVE to know who the government think they are pleasing with this policy

this is a rich text but my favorite part is that despite being presumably good at math, her husband is so illiterate that he cannot read a baby's report card
I think the belief by the powerful that "people will put up with many things if you are excellent at math" is incredibly revealing in terms of understanding How We Got Here

What’s known as the ‘urinary leash’ impacts marginalised communities the most. The lives of women, pregnant people, disabled people, the elderly, trans people and others can be majorly restricted based on the availability of public facilities.

For 20 years, Pam O’Loughlin has been seeking justice for her sister Emer.

20 years of missed opportunities to trace her killer.

Just last week an inquest finally found that a third party was involved in Emer’s death.

Worth your time.

Very clever publicity stunt removing the Stockton’s wing jingle and replacing it with shite elevator Muzak, then bringing on Mike Hanrahan to ask about it.

Cue “public outcry”, cue petition, cue RTÉ management “folding”, cue return of Stockton’s Wing jingle… #justiceforstocktonswing
