Oh yes. Nothing like walking by a tree that gobbles at you. 😆 It blew my mind the first time I learned they liked sleeping in trees.

More often than not, hitting an end is really emotional for me. I have one rough draft I haven't ended because I'll have to deal with the emotional fallout. Before writing I thought hitting an end would simply feel like an accomplishment. Instead I'm an emotional mess. 😅

Sasake will pop up again in the last novel. He knows all the wrong people, so to speak. Mostly harmless himself, but also doesn't want to be involved with any sort of law enforcement. There's some limits to what he'll turn his back on.

If you're curious about the rest of the Thirteen Vocations, who's colors weren't in the prompt, follow my account.

I'm really glad I took the time to edit that article, figured out some stuff that will impact my novels. Glad it was now and not after I published the first one. 😅

In many modern cultures, the expectation is marriage then kids. That is slowly changing in some places. For the Talithans it may have been even less of a norm for their human ancestors (many years in our future). But it's another marriage related thing they would not encourage.

One more note about kids. Another crucial aspect to their society working, particularly because of their care for the environment, is slow population growth. They do this with very good birth control and a societal expectation that you don't have children unless you *really* want them. 🧵
