The doctrine of inerrancy falls into trap of modernity’s doomed quest for pure objectivity. It doesn’t work. The doctrine of Christocentric hermeneutics is a better and more ancient option.

We may not fully agree on what makes up Christian truth, worldview, marriage, manhood, or parenting, but we can agree that Jesus is the standard by which all of these ideas are measured.

A better (though not perfect) adjective is “Christian.” Christ Jesus gives coherence to Scripture and stands as its ultimate goal.
