Neither funny nor fun. Honestly not sure why you’d follow me. Anybody upset about pronouns in a bio deserves to be upset (he/him).

Oh, my: how will we ever determine what to do with this franchise material after they killed the protagonist to end a continuity reboot?

(How do they suck so badly at this? It’s an easy problem to solve.)
James Bond’s death in No Time to Die is causing a nightmare for the next film. Writers are stuck because Bond “was blown to pieces.”

“You can't have him wake up in shower and saying it was all a dream."

I cannot stress enough that EVEN IF 40 years was a conventional loan length for a mortgage, he’s still talking about a 25% increase in the lifetime of the mortgage.

Meanwhile, interest continue to creep up from the 2010s, and prices remain very high.
Ingraham: Is a 50 year mortgage really a good idea?

Trump: It’s not even a big deal. You go from 40 years to 50

Ingraham: 30

I actually spoke to my state legislator during a canvassing stop at my home recently.

And I said point blank: “I am tired of being treated like my vote is a hostage.”
American politics makes a lot more sense when you realize that the GOP is afraid of pissing off the GOP base, and the Dems are afraid of pissing off the GOP base, but neither party is afraid of pissing off the Dem base.

You didn't get a vote. You got a "promise" of a vote. From a party who is disappearing nannies & gardeners and zip-tying children. A party who has flushed Due Process in America down the toilet. Who has subjugated its Congressional duties to an autocrat. That's what everybody sees, Tim.

Senator, we already know the answer is “basically nobody.”

The ACA fucking *sucks*, is a national shame, is confoundingly cruel and ineffective and insufficient and, also, simultaneously is SO MUCH MORE PREFERABLE to pre-ACA American healthcare it's not even close.
The thing about ACA is that if an American describes how it works to someone from literally anywhere else, the other person will be utterly horrified at its deliberate cruelty.

The way the horror of pre-ACA healthcare sounds to an American, is basically how ACA sounds to everyone else on earth.

The cure to the loneliness epidemic is just liking things.
There's a whole generation that learned irony before sincerity and now they're trapped. Can't be earnest without a layer of self-deprecation. Can't be enthusiastic without signaling awareness of how cringe enthusiasm is.

The price of never being vulnerable is never connecting.

Predictably - the Trump/Republican response to last night won’t be to try to earn more votes, it will be to suppress the vote.

At the risk of sounding petty, calls for Democratic unity going forward are all well and good, but let’s not forget that the reason Cuomo ran against Mamdani in the first place was a last-ditch effort by the New York Democratic Party to ratfuck their duly elected nominee.

Yes, we surely can't have an executive taking equity portions of private companies whose leaders come to gatherings where they all sit in a room around a table and tell him how he is a golden god.

Who ever would imagine such a thing?

The Heritage Foundation, which staffs the current presidential administration and wrote its agenda, spent this past week defending Tucker Carlson’s decision to mainstream actual Nazis.

Also this week, a thousand rabbis told me Zohran Mamdani is the greatest threat to my safety as an American Jew.
Again, this is the degrees of separation: Fuentes is a Nazi. Carlson hosts Fuentes and takes him seriously. Roberts defends Carlson. J.D. Vance, Vice President of the United States, wrote the foreword to Roberts’s book.

Nazism is officially a welcome option in the Republican Party.

You cannot make a meaningful deal with someone who has told everyone that he's going to lie about the deal and then go around the appropriations process. He has let you know that the deal means *nothing* no matter what it is.

Blue Collar/Working Class has long since become an aesthetic to most. A guy who owns a construction company and makes six figures is working class because he wears work boots and jeans. A barista at a coffee shop is a member of the elite because Pronouns and Big City
All a straight white man has to do is grow a beard and put on jeans and flannel, and voila: he has automatic Blue Collar Credibility, even if he actually grew up with a trust fund.

ONY white males get the Assumed Blue Collar nod simply by putting on an outfit, too. Doesn’t work for anyone else.
interesting that people are treating his blue collar aesthetic as equivalent to having a blue collar upbringing

EXCLUSIVE: After Trump took over the Kennedy Center in Feb, he vowed to make it "hot" again. So, how's it doing? @jeremybmerrill.com and I used data from the center's ticketing website to find out. Ticket sales are lowest they've been since the pandemic.

This is how our government has been corrupted:

1) Donors give huge sums to elect politicians to office
2) Elected officials rewrite rules in the donors' favor
3) Donors make huge profit
4) Repeat

We must get big money out of politics.

It is the root of our dysfunction.
