Literally saw a waymo make a right turn at a red light and nearly hit a pedestrian. Waymo did not come to a full stop and when the person in the cross walk was yelling at it to stop it just kept going. These things are not safe because they are programmed by people who don't care about human lives

So some of these features they want to get rid of "because they are expensive" are mainly done in software and already exist. Getting rid of them just makes more work and makes cars less safe! What are we doing here people?!

(Also some of these people are executives at Tesla so...)

Red alert 🚨
If you use GMail, AI (Gemini) was turned on yesterday by default and now scans all of your content for machine learning. To turn off, go to Settings>General and scroll down. Uncheck the box for "Smart features."

There's other "Smart" add-ons as well, but that's the one that reads your content.

Remember: don't eat the mid tier fast food chicken, don't play the wizard game, don't shop at the hobby store run by the bad guys from Indiana Jones, and don't donate to the bigot bucket.
I know it's a tad early but I know those bitches with the buckets will be out soon. Don't gove them a penny. The volunteers may not know but the salvation army is no ally and actively combative and harmful to many queer minorities especially during the holiday season

Omg it's happening!
City raccoons are showing early signs of domestication. They never want to go out anymore, just get stuff done around the den and maybe stream some show and call it an early night. www.scientificamerican.com/article/racc...
City Raccoons Are Evolving to Look More Like Pets
City-dwelling raccoons seem to be evolving a shorter snout—a telltale feature of our pets and other domesticated animals

My work laptop will no longer connect to the Internet and part of me is like "omg is this it? Am I finally free from this job?!"

The more likely story is someone from IT pushed a dumb policy update and it borked things

Can see the northern lights a bit if I use my phone camera. But now I'm suspicious that Samsung just imported a PNG like they did with the moon.... Who's to say :p

I just got this as well, report it and do not click the link!
Head's up there is a Bluesky ban scam going around. This account just joined 40 mins ago and send me this DM.

DO NOT CLICK THE LINK.

Bluesky would NEVER send a DM like this and make you scared. This would come through email and would have a more professional email than this.

Stay safe!

Stopped shopping here when they dropped DEI at the beginning of the year. Now I'm absolutely not going to a target ever again
"Store employees are now required to smile if they are within 10 feet of a shopper.

They also must make eye contact with and wave to or greet the customer.

If they’re within four feet, the employee should ask how the customer’s day is going or if they need help."

🙄 Won't stop the boycott, y'all.
Target is now requiring its employees to smile more
As the holiday season fast approaches, Target is urging its employees to add a little more “jolly” to their work routine.

Translated this and basically: the password to the video surveillance system at the Louvre was the name of the museum. This is why you don't cheap out on cyber security practices

Lord forbid people have any small amount of joy. But of course spending $5 on a croissant is the reason they can't afford a house. It's definitely not the fact that mortgage rates have skyrocketed and wages have not increased
“At the same time, more than half of Gen Z members say they are struggling to make ends meet, yet a majority buy themselves a small treat, such as a pastry, coffee, or sweet, at least once a week. That can lead to overspending…”
