Defining him as an idiot may be going too far. His transcripts, so far undisclosed for high school and college, would probably reveal a C student. A president should be smarter and interested in continuing to learn new things. DJT's occasional confusion may be dementia or just age-related fatigue.

I always thought this was a kind of remake of A Star Is Born, which Dunne and Didion also scripted (the Streisand version). An older man with a career in trouble mentors and champions a younger women with talent.

After the 9/11 tragedy we were told by administration that we had to watch what we say. Yesterday Matthew Dowd was fired by MSNBC for saying something that is obviously true but too easily twisted. So the suppression efforts begin again.
