Critical research funding that will directly impact students who need it the most is being gutted. If you are a researcher or special educator or a parent of a child with an IEP)...https://www.votervoice.net/mobile/CFEC/Campaigns/121484/Respond

Defying Gravity followed up by Seasons of Love playing this morning.
It's Transgender Day of Remembrance. As the mom of a person being targeted by the incoming administration, and a human who believes all people have the right to exist and be well, loved, cared for, and safe, I will never rest.

It's the birthday today of one of the biggest influences in my life. ZNH was an extremely talented author who used her writing to document the rich lives of those people she knew. She was a cutting edge researcher who studied and documented religions and communities from within.

This is SO often the focus of feedback I give to students and in manuscript reviews: a gap alone is not sufficient justification for a study!
I've been giving a lot of feedback on student writing lately to not lean so heavily on knowledge gaps in their lit reviews (show don't tell! not all gaps need to be filled!). Glad to see this idea presented thoughtfully by Jenn McClearen last summer: www.publishnotperish.net/p/literature...
