A crop of ~8% of the original raw, not even with a prime lens. The new camera is a beast.

Photography has become a lot easier than it used to. Shot this today without a tripod, no macro lens, and windy conditions. Unthinkable without insane pro skills with good gear even from just 15 years ago.

Happy to see that this preprint has been getting attention. Our new ABC-MK test is much better than other MK tests at estimating strength of - and + selection in presence of pop size changes. Below DFE gamma estimates, blue ABC-MK, yellow and red GRAPES.

IQ-TREE GTR+F+R6 phylogenetic tree of 536 mammals based on 2,000 broadly shared orthologous coding sequences with high GC ones excluded. Broadly agrees with recent literature, including early split of bats within Scrotifera, beavers related to kangaroo rat, etc.
