I remember thinking this at the time. It was like "you do realise these people have been fed the that you represent the literal death of America since like 1990?"

Just an unhinged, cesspool of a country determined to make its people suffer for the amusement and enrichment of the powerful. Ghastly and soulless. Truly the afterlife of an empire.

I remember when I was writing the conclusion of my PhD in 2015 and watched as every party became anti-immigration in the span of one election cycle. I had no idea how bad it was going to get.

British politics has been on a downward spiral since like... Forever, but I feel like the watershed moment was when they declared victory over UKIP by adopting half their positions. They see victory as purely electoral seats, not results or ideology.

It's almost like historical precedents build on top of each other and compound with time! Who knew!!??
