Feel free to add your own ideas for reforming Congress!

1. We should pay Congress critters based on the median income in their states. When they make crap money, they might actually work for real job growth, real income growth so that their salary increases, too. #ReformCongress
We once put a guy in prison for life for ordering people to murder. The guy didn’t do the deed himself. He was too dangerous to not lock up.

Tell me again how Hegseth is different from Charles Manson.
Kegsbreath is 100% guilty, the only question remaining is whether he is a murderer or a war criminal.

“There were no agreements with the Muscovites in the 19th, 20th, or 21st century, only lies, a desire to take lives, and to destroy,” said Polish President Nawrocki. He added that history offers a lesson for modern Poland: deals with Russia have never been real, and it’s a truth everyone must learn.

I have a lot of problems with Chase, but I give them some credit for actually following rational company self preservation methods. Companies in bed with Trump are killing themselves in the long run. (Well, they may be counting on people's short term memory when the shit hits the fan.)
Dimon on why JPMorgan Chase is not funding WH Ballroom:
We have an issue, which is anything we do, since we do a lot of contracts with governments here and around the world, we have to be very careful how anything is perceived, and also how the next DOJ is going to deal with it.

Hegseth should be removed now. If he wants to drag this law through the courts to try to get a different interpretation, fine, but he can do it as a private citizen. Just oust him and deal with fallout later, just like Republicans love to do.
Department of Defense Law of War Manual, Sec. 18.3.2.1 states the "requirement" to refuse illegal orders.

What’s its key example? Wait for it . . . It’s "orders to fire upon the shipwrecked."

Scrooge and the Grinch both look at Trump and say, “Holy shit, man! Too far.”
There is seriously something wrong with this man.

Also, he is devoid of any joy. He is bitter and rotten to the core. This post proves it.

Basically a shit for brains.

Author and journalist Michael Deibert looks at how the current run up of attacks on Venezuela is just one more example of Trump being the same kind of kingpin he vilifies in public. In fact, he does have some drug kingpins he's perfectly okay with…

Trump is not just in the pocket of Putin and Russia; he wants to be like them. So he has found his own personal Ukraine to invade thinking it will make him look like a powerful leader. And Tiny booze dick Hegseth will order any war crime to be Trump’s bestie.
The deranged madman now threatens to blow up commercial airliners flying in and out of Venezuela.

This is a quick overview of the chaos that is in the Trump administration right now when it comes to Venezuela.

Maduro needs to go, however Trump isn't the one to do it since he'd be doing it for show so he can strut and preen and look strong; neither he nor any in his admin have plans for after.

What's your unpopular Star Trek opinion?

Star Trek V is a good movie. Sybok is one of the best tragic characters in all of Trekdom; his broken heart finding out he was duped and subsequent heroic action are excellent. Also, Kirk standing up to "God" is iconic.
What's your unpopular Star Trek opinion?

Sub Rosa is a goid episode.

Hope to move to Spain soon enough and was going through picking my team to support. Guess it won't be Atletico Madrid. Which team should I pick now?

BTW, I'm a supporter of D.C. United right now, so obviously I don't care if the team is a winner of loser. :D (D.C., you break my heart, though.)

Good. Countries need to cut us off and isolate us. With Trump, his sycophant cabinet, and MAGA/Project 2025ers/Christian Nationalists in control, we are unreliable and chaotic. Hopefully NATO countries cut us off, too.

7 Democrat Senators and 1 Independent Senator are the biggest suckers today.
November 10, 2025 at 3:16 PM
So, Tim, you actually believe Republican promises to hold a future vote on ACA premium tax credits? You are a sucker, and you just did a disservice to every Virginian who delivered for Democrats in last week’s elections. I hope they recall you; you don’t deserve to stay until 2031.
My statement on the funding deal to reopen government, protect federal employees, and vote to protect health care:

These are the 8 Democrats and Independent who shit on everyone who voted for Democrats in last week’s election:

Cortez Masto - NV
John Fetterman - PA
Angus King - ME.
Dick Durbin -IL
Maggie Hassan - NH
Tim Kaine -VA
Jacky Rosen - NV
Jeanne Shaheen - NH

Deaths from lost healthcare are on them.
Tonight was a very bad night.

KitKat's tragic martyrdom highlights an ongoing struggle for the heart of the city, not solely between a single tech company and a bodega, but between the tech industry and the public space it occupies. bayareacurrent.com/fuck-waymo-l...

An account of Day 3 in the felony trial of Sandwich Guy who threw a wrapped Subway sub at an officer. I can’t believe the jury didn’t come back with an acquittal within 15 minutes. Ridiculous. But, like one commenter says, a very entertaining waste of my tax dollars.
Day 3 of the “no more than 2” day trial of Sandwich Guy. The prosecution intends to rest; the defense hasn’t decided yet. Dispute over jury instructions continues, a few morsels (sorry) to follow.
