For an open table idea lately I've been thinking of trying Cairn 1e/2e (being levelless it allows all players to always go together) with the Block, Dodge, Parry supplement to make it a bit more "meatier". I think it'd be interesting.

For an open table idea lately I've been thinking of trying Cairn 1e/2e (being levelless it allows all players to always go together) with the Block, Dodge, Parry supplement to make it a bit more "meatier". I think it'd be interesting.
Some could be specializations/flavor or similar, like ranger and paladin for Fighter or Assassin/Acrobat for Thief. An interesting idea are quasi-classes from BFRPG, for example a Holy quasi-class on a figther could be a Paladin, but on a Magic-user could be a mix cleric/mage.
