I wonder if a complete randomly generated paper would make it through their review process, like this: en.wikipedia.org/wiki/SCIgen

It's interesting that two Conservative MPs didn't vote. Either Poilevre doesn't actually want to have an election despite saying he does, or the Conservative caucus continues to have issues with discipline. The NDP had two MPs sit out the vote, but I kinda expected that.

I wonder what the corresponding "how to keep a strange human" article would say. Maybe something about making eunuchs? "Top ten eunuchs" was a great podcast episode.

But now you can run for mayor of my heart.

I know some people who would do a cheaper and more thorough teardown of the White House.

Pro-tip: instead of running the burners, pile some twigs and brush by the stove and set fire to the pile before you leave the house. Twigs and brush are free.

I've read a suggestion to move government ministries to rural communities, bringing well-paying jobs to these areas, and maybe even making the people there feel more sympathetic to the government.

I'd be most interested in stuff that scales well in rural areas. Resource extraction makes money (at least for now) in those places, even as it wrecks the environment.

There are good proposals for urban and suburban areas, but a dearth of them for rural places.

Wow. That's insane. I only saw it from 9000 level because I didn't want to try to go to 8000 level.

Your neighbour decided to take meetings in another room as a result :p

It's a lot more relaxing the other way, isn't it? Believing that people are uncoordinated, occasionally incompetent, and highly idiosyncratic actors is so much more relaxing, even if they are doing terrible things. That way, there's so much more room for things to get better (or worse).

Increasing my consumption of absurd archival newspaper clippings is definitely improving my anxiety, mental health, heart health, and overall understanding.

At least Mr. Hughes did not talk about Keno. That would have been beyond the pale.

Having renounced the "affordable" and "housing" portions of the affordable housing plan, at least we still have the word "plan."
