I really need a new job with unlimited PTO because there are about 87 trips I want to take this year but pretty much all my PTO is accounted for by 3 trips 😩 (am aware this is a princess problem)

My department is part of a larger line of business. Next week my smaller department is having a 9-5 EOY town hall type thing + dinner, so 9-7pm. Tuesday the LOB is having their EOY from 9-5pm+ dinner + after party, so essentially 9-10pm.

My younger brother is coming down to watch Sugar so we can go away for my birthday. He’s only had a small chihuahua, so I made a 3 page google doc on care instructions for Sug including a highlighted map of our walking routes 😅 I’m insane. It’s fine.

Someone please explain to me how my SIL thinks it’s ok to ignore our side of the family for the holidays (no invite to visit, no acknowledgement of the day), but can add us + her extended fam to a group chat “I know folks have asked for niece’s bday list, so here you go!!!”

My manager makes me feel like I’m taking crazy pills. Our department is trying to push us to not schedule meetings after 2 pm on Fridays. Manager moved our 1:1 from yesterday to today at 3. I politely reached out offering to cancel and catch up offline since he has no topics for me anyway.
