I think there’s quite a large swath of fans that are fine with the changes, if not completely sold on the ‘why’ for certain of them.
It is odd that changes to the size of the field will make expansion/exporting easier, but the league hasn’t said that that was the motivation.

They’ve got 3 years left at the current arena. At the same time, the LeBreton Flats project (less than 2km from Lansdowne) is said to be around 6 years away. So we’re talking about maybe 3 years the team would play at new Lansdowne arena or CTC. Or both. Not terrible.
