The storm has passed. Good morning from Glen Clova

We are a lot more friendly in Scotland!

Another re-wiggled burn this time at the other end of the estate. The water from the old straight burn has just been diverted into the dry new river bed

My morning looked like this. Not always glad to be alive but today I was.

Curlews arriving in numbers now to make their nests for another year in Glen Clova. It’s a shame it’s one of the last strongholds. They seem to like to open moorland and the lightly grazed pastures in the glen.

These Highland cows are starting to do a great job at grazing and fertilising our grassland. Huge improvements in grass quality, soil carbon and organic matter, insects, dung beetles etc
