Yeah, camera autofocus systems can’t seem to recognize them as subjects. I have a few good shots, but also lots of blurry ones.

Yes. Hard corals, the ones that actually build the reef structure, have taken the brunt of global warming.

Bonaire, above the water, feels small and remote. And you can feel that there are less than 20,000 people living there. And there’s something great about that. Curacao, with 150,000 residents and a UNESCO protected downtown feels more like a place.

Tough one. The sheer number of shore diving sites in Bonaire is legendary. And boat dives to Klein Bonaire are pretty great. Curacao has fewer shore diving sites, but the entry/exits seem to be easier. The boat dives to Oostpunt (often not possible due to wind/rough seas) is my favorite site ever.
