Many years ago the ABC aired this doco delving into the dirty dealings behind the scenes in #auspol. Sadly its no longer available but I highly recommend it. The ABC always shines as investigative bloodhounds. I ordered the DVD and would love to see a follow-up series. iview.abc.net.au/show/big-deal

I suspect (hope) that the LNP splinters into minority parties, leaving Labor as the only electable party. We won't stomach this monopoly for long and elect more Independents. resulting in a fairer system for all. #auspol

While everyone’s having fun laughing at the Coalition’s ‘climate policy’ Labor is munching popcorn and enjoying the complete lack of scrutiny of its failed ‘Safeguard Mechanism’.

If only tackling #climate change just required being better than the Coalition…

OECD report shows LNP climate irrelevance, while Safeguard Mechanism among least effective emissions reduction schemes in world
The report demonstrates that Australia’s safeguard mechanism remains one of the least effective programs for reducing emissions, and relies the most on carbon credits.

Net zero LNP hatchet-Senator Sarah Henderson is getting pilloried by clean energy NGOs for her characterisation of clean energy projects as 'not giving a rats about local impacts'. It led to some fiery exchanges between committee sitters. Sen Hanson-Young also getting out her knives. Spicy! #Auspol

So the Libs dump net zero, and same day the OECD brings out a report showing an increase in the number of countries putting a price on carbon.

Stellar work by Sussan!

Good on the Guardian for this. I'm astonished at how many journalists at other organisations don't seem to know this or think that it's important to mention. Coalition politicians keep claiming it's net zero causing rising costs without any pushback
