Really important to remember that it's a test to see what will generate outrage. They test drive this stuff on marginalized groups in the hopes that the avg person won't be paying attention. This shows that it got enough attention to make them uncomfortable leaving it up.

Regardless, the power differential was there and that's what matters. Tbh, even if they were on equal footing, it's disgusting to insinuate that men acting this way is okay.

Birth certificates and driver's licenses are managed by your state. The federal government has no control over those.

Tbh I imagine part of the actual acts of violence are due to the rage of the gun not being enough to make them feel any better. That's most likely the point that the hopelessness and rage set in the most.

Honestly, a lot of this is about the world, not individuals. It is harder than ever to socialize irl as a young person because third spaces keep being eliminated and those that remain are unaffordable in our current economy. Young people today struggle to find community.

Part of this is toxic masculinity. Men are taught that they need to be tough and that any weakness they could show makes them feminine. So they don't reach out to connect with others or get help when they are struggling. Instead, they buy a gun because they think it will make them feel masculine.

Oh, for sure. It definitely is better when you're young, from a passing standpoint and a psychosocial one. Just wanted to make sure no one out there feels like all hope is lost if they can't transition young, esp with the world being the way it is ❤️

Just friendly reminder that plenty of folks transition later and are still able to pass. I know you probably didn't mean to imply otherwise, but it's important to prevent any kind of misinformation.

There are plenty of blue dots in red states, and I feel for those who are essentially trapped in red states for whatever reason. But large amounts of people in those states voted against their own interests and everyone in those states will be impacted esp by elected officials @ the state level.
