Appalling weather here too, but saw this intrepid Magpie precariously battling against the wind. He flew off just after I took this picture and poor thing was buffeted about by a sudden huge gust.

A woodie again, but today instead of yesterday's wind and rain, it's enjoying the crisp early morning sunshine perched on the antennae of a neighbouring roof.

Spent a mindful evening writing Christmas cards. I know it's a dying custom these days, but it's still something I enjoy. Catching up with friends far away and wishing them happiness for the year ahead makes me feel happy.

I know it's early, but these have just arrived and naturally I just had to test them! Can't wait to put them on my outdoor Christmas tree in a few weeks (it was last year's indoor live tree).
