I'd never heard of Eugene V. Debs before! Upon a brief Google search, he was an American labor leader, socialist, and political activist. He was responsible for helping organize railroad unions, he lead the Pullman strike, and ran for president from a prison cell.
got to hear Bernie give a talk about the impact and importance of Eugene V. Debs in Terre Haute tonight, good stuff

Finally getting around to reading this book after seeing @balint.house.gov post about it, many months ago. Such a great way to provide a brief overview of tyranny and its history.

Work requirements hurt poor people AND are a waste of money.

Arkansas spent $26 million on administrative costs for work requirements — and saw no increase in employment.

Georgia’s program cost $40 million in one year — 80% of that went to administrative and consulting costs.

*asks my husband to put lotion on my back*

Me: Can you put more lotion? I need to be lubed up like a Thanksgiving turkey.

Him: You need a balance where you skin still makes it's own oils. If anarchy happens we may not have access to lotion. 🤣🤣🤣
