No lawmaker in Congress should be able to own, buy, and sell individual stocks.

We need to ban congressional stock trading—and I've got a bill for that.

I’ve been thinking about that quote often lately.
They were careless people, Tom and Daisy- they smashed up things and creatures and then retreated back into their money or their vast carelessness or whatever it was that kept them together, and let other people clean up the mess they had made.

Hard to pick just one by these guys. They started out as pure traditional Québecois folk music (which I jokingly called “Irish, Scottish & Cajun music fused at the molecular-genetic level”)… then they they added a jazz horn section from Montréal. My old roommate called it “instant happy music.”

Nothing deep: bagpipes were troop-signalling devices in war, so they're very, very loud. Some people hate that, but I have an affection for Scottish folk music.

Andy Stewart, of Silly Wizard, used to refer to bagpipes as "Scotland's answer to the cruise missile."

This false meme just showed up in my mentions. Let me debunk it right quick. The graph (falsely) shows Harris receiving 16M fewer votes in 2024 than Biden did in 2020, & (falsely) suggests this gap is evidence of fraud in 2020. In reality, Harris received 75M votes (only 6M fewer) in 2024.
