“Strange”? Try Indefensible.
Todd Blanche’s visit to Ghislaine Maxwell wasn’t just a breach of protocol. It was a betrayal of public trust and his oath of office.

She’s right.
I don’t think anyone is prepared for what they just did w/ ICE.

This is not a simple budget increase. It is an explosion - making ICE bigger than the FBI, US Bureau of Prisons, DEA,& others combined.

It is setting up to make what’s happening now look like child’s play. And people are disappearing.

@sbagen.bsky.social are you aware of any resources addressing ice detention of people with intellectual disabilities? Also, borderline intellectual function. Thanks so much. Hoping to spur some planning in MA and elsewhere.

@jvl.bsky.social I basically agree with you, but my 26 yo Dem kid who works with ppl with ID is going to pay 5k addl./yr (/ her 30k Y) for the insurance that pays for the infusion drug that keeps her alive. Your glee in wanting voters to face the consequences of their votes hurts to hear sometimes.

I just think there needs to be more attention paid to the uniquely creepy, mendacious, awfulness of Speaker Mike Johnson. Don’t underestimate the depth of his ambition and breadth of what he is willing to do to never return to Shreveport.

An investigation by The Trace, CBS News, and Reveal found that more than 52,000 former police guns resurfaced in crimes between 2006 and 2022. Since then, over a dozen law enforcement agencies have stopped reselling their used guns or reconsidered the practice.
