Friday in Seattle a stacked bill will perform for y'all at the best room in the city. We are celebrating the release of Spiritual Exit's "Fragment" and would love to see you there.

I also will be making sure we all are blowing out the merch tables.

Doing a little celebration of the new Spiritual Exit record on Debacle with a show at the Chapel in a few weeks. Our homie John Swanke is coming out as is sonora enjambre. If you are in town its an early show on Saturday night! Also my first return to booking in I don't know how many years.

Good night!

Seven years in the making, Paurl Walsh and Mike Sparks have created something that oscillates between nervous energy and calm tension in the most compelling way. It's exceptional music that would have blown my mind in 2001 and still does in 2025.

Pre-orders up now, ships August 22nd.

Newsletter up today! Where I live unbox the Singulars record I sent to press not just two weeks ago! CDs sure are a miracle that way.

Newsletter is up for the week!

This week I try to get the idea across of labels pivoting to a gardening over gambling model for their release cycle. Who knows how well I did.

Newsletter is up, kind of all over the place, but talking about the realities of music press, looking back at we have already released this year, and previewing an upcoming reissue I am crazy stoked about.

I dunno maybe I am crazy?

Newsletter went up last Friday, got really rant-y. This discussion on physical media is getting interesting.

I have recently moved from Mailchimp to Beehiiv, and then heard that Substack's video stuff is getting really interesting. So I have been talking a lot about these services. Funny to then see yesterday that @thrilljockey.bsky.social obviously moved their newsletter to Beehiv recently.

Sadgirlpop did a similar one in like 2018 that I always think about. Not that this is a problem I share, but it made me appreciate it.

New Ted Gioia newsletter solidifies as lot of feelings and thoughts I have tried to gather over the last few years. As a burnt out introvert it is so hard to get out in the world and be less of a cybernetic creature. I am trying to communicated better at least.

I have a master in my hands for the rebirth of YIELD. It has me thinking of all this. The whole idea of YIELD is mining an era of music that gets overlooked because of familiarity. This does exactly that, takes from it and makes it new. I cannot wait to show you.
