Do you live in the Denver, CO area? I’m having my closing reception this Friday at The Decadent Gallery. It’s so hard to connect in person these days, I would absolutely love for anyone to drop by and say hi!

It is legally impossible to deport citizens. This is not deportation. Removing citizens to foreign prisons, knowing to a certainty that they will be subjected to treatment that violates the U.S. constitution, doesn’t deserve any label that connotes legal legitimacy.

The biggest thing we need to do is let people know that the protests are FUN. Yelling fuck the man is fun. You will meet fun people.

We also need to make them more fun. Bring grills like the French. Bring instruments like it’s Mardi Gras. Give people a reason to spend their weekend in the streets.

I had a conversation about this with someone today who was spewing nonsense. There is a difference between genuine rage and the privilege of self righteousness. We all know how Cory Booker votes, accountability is great, but is your anger self serving or actually helping those being oppressed?!?
white leftists in PARTICULAR been poisoning the well with purity bullshit for years. They are still so mad about Bernie Sanders old ass not getting enough votes to secure the nomination that they were hell bent on breaking the Democratic coalition down to the nubs we have today

We keep writing about this destruction without getting to the core of it. “White Americans who are racially resentful towards Blacks, hold negative views of immigrants, and believe that whites are being discriminated against are especially likely to hold anti-democratic beliefs.”
Study shows growing link between racial attitudes and anti-democratic beliefs among White Americans
A new study reveals anti-democratic beliefs among white Americans are strongly linked to racial resentment and perceived white status threat. This connection has grown stronger over the last decade.

“One young man sobbed when a guard pushed him to the floor. He said, ‘I’m not a gang member. I’m gay. I’m a barber.’ I believed him. *** He “began to whimper,” as his head was roughly shaved, “folding his hands in prayer as his hair fell.” He “asked for his mother & cried as he was slapped again.”

I asked people where they’re at post-election w/sex, desire, and their bodies. Just a sampling: “Our queer sex is liberation, our pleasure a big middle-finger to the cultural forces & people who voted against our interests or want to see us extinguished.” tracyclarkflory.substack.com/p/queer-plea...
Queer pleasure is 'a big middle-finger'
Also: 'Don’t think I’m touching a man anytime soon.’ Post-election, I asked where you're at when it comes to sex, desire, and your body. Here's what you said.

Friendly reminder that Joann Fabrics isn’t closing because it’s a bad business. It’s closing bc it was bought by a private equity firm. This is also what is happening to Hooters and what happened to US Toys R Us and Red Lobster. These companies are being dismantled intentionally.

One of my party facts is that according to polls, Americans believe foreign aid is about 25% of the federal budget and on average that it *should* be about 10%.

The actual number is less than 1%.

Foreign aid has long been a boogey man of the right, so it's not surprising they're vilifying it now.

I don’t know how I feel about these adult content warning labels on my art. Is anyone else out there dealing with censorship on this platform? How do you feel about the labels?

My art is minimalistic and erotic, I don’t draw faces, just clean line work. But alas, our puritan ideals are rooted so deep, there is no platform I can openly share my work on. Even though the whole point of my art is to de stigmatize and release sexual shame.

So about a month ago one of my closest friends, who also happened to be trans, chose to end her life. The transphobic rhetoric since the election has been so triggering as of late it would be really meaningful to me to hear supportive words for trans people, if you all have any? 🌈
