Louisiana mostly sets its own school curriculum, as do all states. Any "failure" of Louisiana schools is mostly on state and local governments. Dissolving the Department of Education will likely eliminate 13% of Louisiana school funding. Results will be worse and your local taxes will be higher.

Spending some time over the next few days preparing for the Waco Brothers trip on the Outlaw Country Cruise. Considering current events, this great song came to mind. Isn't there a story about the band continuing to play as the ship went down?

I've seen multiple examples of senate and congress members being denied access to federal agencies by one security guard. Why don't they just go past him en masse? If he does nothing, you gain access. If he tries to physically restrain or calls cops, the coverage better illustrates the point.

While the response of the Democrats in congress seems feckless, there is a lot of litigation in process. If you're able, donating to the ACLU is an action you can take that will make some difference.
